The Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Monday–Friday 8a–4pm (Personal Support) in Baltimore, MD. Earn $19.75 per hour onsite, providing hands-on support to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

You will implement individual plans, promote independent living skills, document progress, and collaborate with nursing and program staff. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a chance to contribute to the lives of people served.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull adequate weight to assist individuals supported (may exceed 50 pounds).

Responsabilités

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and stay actively involved in programs.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and needs.
• Teach and instruct individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per plans.
• Communicate with day program staff about the individual program.
• Follow approved behavior plans and intervention strategies to progress toward goals.
• Promote independence in daily living skills and personal care.
• Transport persons served to appointments, activities, and community outings.
