Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Baltimore team, working Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This on-site, part-time role supports a person served in their home and community, helping with daily living tasks and safety.

Salary is $19.75 per hour, with the chance to grow within a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering people with intellectual and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull adequate weights to assist individuals.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow individualized plans.
• CPR knowledge or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support, actively engaging with them.
• Provide supervision and training to promote growth toward goals per plans.
• Ensure home is personalized to each person’s preferences and needs.
• Assist with independent living skills and community activities.
• Administer medications per physician orders and MAR checks.
• Monitor safety and maintain house records and reports.
• Transport persons served to appointments and activities.
