Job summary

The Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide personal support in a residential setting in Baltimore, MD. A compassionate, responsible caregiver will assist adults with developmental disabilities, promote independence, and ensure safety in home and community activities.

Role requires CPR knowledge, ability to lift, and flexibility to work Tuesday–Friday 10am–3pm, including nights and weekends. Compensation is $19.75 per hour, on-site in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push adequate weight (may exceed 50 pounds).
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and actively engage with him/her.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Teach and guide individuals to do as much as possible for themselves.
• Administer medications per PMOF and MAR with three-way checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the home.
• Transport persons served to appointments and activities.
• Record monthly, incident, seizure, and activity logs.
