Job summary

The Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Monday–Friday evenings (5pm–10pm) in Baltimore, MD. This on-site, part-time role supports individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in home and community settings.

You will assist with daily living activities, follow individualized plans, administer medications as prescribed, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the residence, while coordinating with staff and families to promote independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by Agency policy.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull adequate weight to assist individuals you support (may be more than 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in daily living activities in the home and community.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward goals.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and needs.
• Administer correct and timely medication per physician orders and MAR checks.
• Communicate with program staff regarding individual plans and needs.
