Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for on-site, part-time evening and weekend shifts in Baltimore, MD. You will provide personal support in a residential setting, supervise adults with developmental disabilities, and help them follow individual plans while promoting independence.

Responsibilities include medication administration, safety, and daily living activities. Flexible hours include nights, weekends, and holidays; training and routine meetings are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license or acceptable driving record as determined by criteria.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push adequate weight to assist individuals supported (may be more than 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support, engaging with him/her and ensuring programs and activities are carried out.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth and independence.
• Teach and instruct people served to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Communicate medical concerns to the RN and supervisor in a timely manner.
• Transport persons served to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the home and participate in records and reports.
