Chimes in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Fri 5p-10p and Sat/Sun 9a-7p, on-site, part-time. You will provide personal support in a residence, ensuring safety, dignity, and engagement for individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Agency policy.
• Able to lift, pull, and push adequate weight to assist individuals supported (may be more than 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is to work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and to be engaged with him/her, always actively involved.
• Provides supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward highest potential.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and personality.
• Teach individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Communicate with day program staff regarding the individual program when requested.
