Lower Eastside Service Center is seeking a front-desk/Resident Assistant to provide a supportive setting for residents, staff and visitors in New York. You will meet, greet, verify identifications, monitor safety and coordinate with agencies during home visits, addressing crises and promoting community involvement.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Fireguard (F-01) certification, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and professional conduct.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Meet, greet, check identifications and announce visitors to residents and staff.
• Maintain daily log of complaints and incidents in the building.
• Assist clients during home visits by outside agencies.
• Call 911 in emergencies and inform Emergency Operator.
• Support residents in developing life skills and independence.
• Address needs during crisis situations following policy.
• Engage tenants in outreach and life skills on health topics.
• Accept medication deliveries and ensure tenants receive meds.
• Assist with filling out complaint forms and relaying information.
• Answer central telephones and relay messages to staff and residents.
• Record and maintain log of incidents and monitor resident safety.
• Assist program staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
