Job summary

A community support organization in New York, NY, is seeking a full-time Resident Aide/Security. The role involves ensuring the safety and security of all clients and staff, performing regular facility patrols, and handling crisis situations. Candidates must possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), a NYS Security Guard License, and have experience in a residential facility. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; in lieu of education, must have two years of related experience.
• Minimum two years of experience working in a residential facility.
• Experience working with dual-diagnosed individuals, mental health, and substance abuse issues is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, visitors, and property.
• Control access at the main entrance by screening all clients and visitors entering the building.
• Perform regular and frequent foot patrols of the entire facility.
• Respond to incidents and document all situations.
• Complete logs, incident reports, and all required documentation.
