Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• F-02 Certificate of Fitness and CPR/First Aid required.
• Ability to establish professional boundaries with residents.
• Experience working in a residential facility preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good judgment and ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Ability to assess emergencies and respond effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients, units, and grounds to ensure safety.
• Enforce shelter policies and staff procedures.
• Document observations in the communication log and resident whereabouts.
• Assist clients with questions and resolve issues.
• Examine items entering the facility for safety.
• Monitor video footage in hallways, staircases, lounges and common areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, and fire guidelines; conduct hourly rounds.
• Report safety hazards to supervisors or maintenance staff.
• Work with security personnel to ensure staff and resident safety.
• Prepare units for vacancies and manage client materials and documentation.
• Document incident details, participants, actions taken, and outcomes.
• May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
