Job summary

A community support organization in New York seeks a Residential Aide responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff. The successful candidate will monitor the premises, enforce shelter policies, and manage documentation of resident interactions. Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply. This position may require evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with residents.
• Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and standards.
• General knowledge of working in a residential facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the clients, units, and grounds for safety.
• Enforce shelter policies and follow procedures.
• Document resident whereabouts and behaviors.
• Assist clients with questions and resolve issues.
• Conduct hourly rounds of the facility.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to assess emergency situations

Bilingual Spanish/English

Education

High School Diploma/GED

F-02 Certificate of Fitness
