Job summary

Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional for Monday–Friday 4:30–9:30pm at our Baltimore residence. This part-time, on-site role supports adults with intellectual and behavioral needs within residential programs, following individualized plans and safety protocols.

You will supervise daily activities, promote independence, and assist with personal care, medications, and community outings while maintaining detailed records and reporting as required.

Qualifications

• Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have a driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift, push, and pull adequate weight (more than 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and to be engaged with him/her, ensuring programs and activities are carried out for the person’s benefit.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth.
• Teach and instruct individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Transport persons served to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the home and participate in required records and reports.
