Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registration Clerk to support patient admissions and registration processes at our hospital. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, schedule services and assist with patient payments in a fast-paced environment.

Under supervision, you will ensure accurate documentation, HIPAA compliance, and effective communication with patients and staff. This role offers part-time shifts and potential for a signing bonus during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate degree or healthcare-related certificate.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, insurance and visit data accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule radiology, lab and other services.
• Assist with ED and Labor & Delivery registrations.
• Collect patient balances and explain financial options.
• Maintain patient records and ensure timely data entry.
