Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Associate degree or healthcare certificate preferred.
• Proficient data-entry and attention to detail.
• Experience in hospital admissions, insurance, billing, scheduling or call center service.
• Previous insurance verification experience.
• Bilingual reading/writing skills preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain and enter demographic, insurance and other related patient information.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule radiology, lab and basic ancillary services.
• Handle patient registrations for Emergency Department and other services.
• Collect patient liabilities prior to or on the date of service.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and bed management.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with clerical duties.
