Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep our diesel fleet in top condition. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment including tractors, trailers and lift gates, while performing required preventive maintenance per DOT standards.

You will document work using our fleet maintenance software, mentor teammates, and collaborate with internal partners to plan effective maintenance actions. Onsite role with serving the Louisiana area.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Welding ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls and coordinate with third party vendors and partners.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software.
• Mentor other maintenance staff and be willing to take on increased responsibilities.
