Job summary

Community Health Resources seeks a Registered Nurse for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role supports a 24/7 crisis stabilization program with evening shifts from 4pm to midnight, focusing on nursing care, assessment, and coordination to prevent hospitalizations.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide trauma-informed, recovery-focused care, conduct assessments, monitor medications, document interventions, and support clients in coping skills and community

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing and RN licensure in CT.
• Experience with patients with substance use and mental health disorders is preferred, in a managed care setting if possible.
• CPR & First Aid certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services to clients in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Intervenes in conflicts to maintain a positive milieu and safety.
• Supports family and natural supports in care planning and engagement.
• Maintains rapport and trust with clients through active engagement and skill-building.
• Educates clients on coping skills, daily living activities, psychoeducation, and community resources.
