Job summary

CHR's REST Center in Willimantic, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (16 hours/week) to support 24/7 crisis stabilization services. The role focuses on nursing care, assessment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and connect them to community resources.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in CT and experience with substance use and mental health issues within managed care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing with RN licensure in CT.
• Experience with substance use and mental health disorders preferred.
• Experience in a managed care environment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Treats substance use and co-occurring disorders appropriately.
• Addresses conflicts to maintain a positive milieu.
• Supports family and natural supports for clients.
• Builds rapport and engages clients in recovery activities.
• Educates on coping skills, ADLs, psychoeducation, and community resources.
• Transports clients when needed.
• Documents interventions and observations professionally.
• Develops and monitors integrated behavioral health and medical plans.
• Keeps current on behavioral health treatment approaches.
