Job summary

Smart Foodservice Stores is seeking a Produce Inspector II to perform daily inspections of all incoming deliveries and existing produce inventories to ensure quality standards are met. The role requires decision-making on accept/reject per PACA rules and coordination with warehouse teams to minimize returns.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Starting pay is $25 an hour, with benefits including health insurance and other perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in produce or perishable receiving and inspection preferred.
• USDA specs knowledge and PACA laws required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming fresh produce against quality specs.
• Accept or reject deliveries per PACA rules.
• Maintain inspection records and coordinate with warehouse team.
