Job summary

US Foods is hiring a Produce Inspector to perform daily inspections of incoming and in-inventory fresh produce, ensuring quality per USDA guidelines. You will work with warehouse management, record inspections, and make recommendations on dump, damage, or repackaging.

The role offers evening shifts (starting at 2:00 pm) Sunday through Thursday with overtime eligibility and a pay rate around $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year Produce experience (Foodservice, Retail, Grower/Shipper) or similar required.
• Must be able to operate electric pallet jack.
• Must work well without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce and inventory.
• Communicate with buyers and warehouse manager on perishable items.
• Inspect inbound truck conditions and verify PO quantities.
• Document temperatures and report violations to management.
• Complete daily dump and damage reports for supervisors.
