Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Patient Care Technician for our 8S Observation/General Surgery unit. The role involves assisting with vital signs and daily living activities under an RN, following the care plan, and participating in education and safety initiatives.

Applicants should have a CNA program completion, Maryland CNA license, and BLS. The position is full-time with evening shifts and weekend requirements. Competitive benefits are offered by Adventist HealthCare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Care for patients per the established care plan and receive report from the RN.
• Maintain safety by identifying hazards and reporting issues with equipment.
