Job summary

White Oak Medical Center is part of Adventist HealthCare and seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the care delivery team on evenings with a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role focuses on assisting RNs, performing vital signs, and daily living activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates hold a Maryland CNA license, BLS, and a high school diploma or CNA program; prior acute care experience is preferred, and strong English skills are essential for patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Effective English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability for lifting and turning.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN.
• Ensure a culture of safety.
• Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.
• Participate in department and organizational education programs and committees.
