Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for our Intensive Care Unit to support the care team with vital signs, ADLs, and patient comfort during night shifts.

The role requires Maryland CNA license, CNA program completion, and BLS; strong English; lifting ability; and acute care experience preferred. Schedule: 36 hrs/week across 3 night shifts; non-exempt under FLSA. Adventist HealthCare offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful CNA program completion and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Good English communication (spoken and written).
• Physical ability for lifting and bending.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plan and report to RN, ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Identify equipment issues and report malfunctions.
• Attend department meetings and ongoing education.
• Maintain professional image and participate in safety culture.
• Support patient comfort and assist in care delivery.
