Job summary

White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Intensive Care Unit. You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, and bedside care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting a patient-centered care team.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, completion of a CNA program, Maryland CNA license, and BLS. Excellent English skills and computer literacy are required; prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Complete CNA program and pass CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability for lifting and movement.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by the Registered Nurse.
• Participate in education programs and professional initiatives.
• Maintain safety culture and report equipment issues.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of work areas and supplies.
