Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for our Float Pool. You will assist with vital signs, ADLs, and nursing tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to a culture of safety and high-quality care.

Requirements include a Maryland CNA license, CNA exam completion, BLS, and strong English skills. Prior acute care experience and computer literacy are preferred; 36 hours per week with day shifts and rotating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• CNA exam must be completed successfully.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• English language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Ability to lift, bend and turn as part of the role.
• Experience in acute care is preferred; strong computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN and maintain safety standards.
• Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
