Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Patient Care Representative to provide exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting. You will greet patients, collect payments, assist with check-in, and ensure accurate data entry while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Mon-Fri hours are 2:30-11pm with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multitask and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain forms.
• Assist with iPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Recognize when language services are needed and arrange support.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists and radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Handle mail and deliveries and prepare next day’s schedule.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups.
• Verify and enter information into systems accurately.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies professionally.
• Support care with machine utilization and waitlist templates.
• Answer questions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Keep management informed of potential issues.
• Stay updated on policy/procedure changes.
