Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with strong healthcare administration and revenue cycle experience to support patient access in Lancaster, PA. You will register patients, verify insurance, obtain referrals, and help manage high-volume calls and scheduling.

Second shift, 2:30pm to 11pm, at 123 E James St, Lancaster, PA. Excellent communication and data-entry skills are essential to ensure HIPAA-compliant patient records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of patient registration experience.
• 1+ year of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
• 1+ year of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization processing.
• Experience collecting patient copays and financial obligations.
• Previous Epic or equivalent EMR/EHR experience.
• Strong computer, keyboarding, and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Register, check in, and schedule patients accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations.
• Process patient financial clearance and collect copays.
• Manage inbound and outbound patient calls.
• Enter and release orders within the EMR.
• Maintain and scan patient documentation into medical records.
• Resolve registration errors and work queue issues.
• Escalate patient concerns appropriately.
• Support high-volume patient access operations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
