Job summary

TaraVista in Devens, Massachusetts, is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to join a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role involves direct care to patients and support to families, with emphasis on trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.

Schedule includes 24-hour shifts with evening coverage and weekend/holiday rotation. Applicants should hold a Massachusetts RN license, ideally BSN, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts (MA)
• BSN preferred
• Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders treatment
• Understanding of the Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care
• Valid CPR certification
• Experience in psychiatric or substance use disorders inpatient settings with restraint reduction, de-escalation and crisis intervention

Responsibilities

• Act as an active participant in the health care team delivering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and guardians.
• Assess patients' physical and psychological condition throughout the continuum of care.
• Apply the nursing process per TaraVista Behavioral Health Center's philosophy and core principles.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in TaraVista's values.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and document goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric presentations.
