Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support resident care in our Iowa facility. You will administer medications according to orders and ensure patient safety while upholding the dignity and quality of life of residents.

Qualifications

• Must have active Medication Technician Certification or at least one year of senior care experience.
• Must have an approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members on shift.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission consistently on duty.
