Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Marion, IA is hiring a Medication Technician to support resident care. You will ensure medications are given accurately per physician orders, uphold dignity and safety, and help residents live their lives to the fullest on a daily basis.

This role requires an active Certification (or relevant experience), CPR/First Aid, and the ability to work with the eMAR system. You will follow the six rights, supervise team members as appropriate, and exemplify the Bickford Mission

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification or 1+ year senior care experience.
• Must hold a valid Medication Manager Certificate from the DoIA.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Follow MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed staff when appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission on shift.
