Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician in Urbandale, IA to administer daily medications per physician orders and guidelines. The role includes direct resident care and supervising team members to ensure high-quality, compassionate service.

You will utilize the eMAR system, adhere to the Six Rights, and collaborate with clinical leadership to maintain resident safety and dignity in care delivery. Eligible full-time staff receive comprehensive benefits and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least 1 year of senior care experience.
• Must have an approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification on resident medication and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed.
• Demonstrate Bickford's mission on shift as a role model.
