Job summary

Lutheran Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on the evenings shift. You will follow the nursing process and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver safe, effective care.

You will work 10-hour shifts, 1.0 FTE, with no weekends and weekend call on a rotating basis; OR services RN coverage with perioperative duties and holiday on-call/work rotation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Active state RN licensure and BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients thoroughly and document findings; report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and discharge plans.
