Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Main OR with 16 OR suites. The role is full-time, 1.0 FTE, days, four ten-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with a flex day off. Includes holiday rotation and weekend call. Offers comprehensive benefits and sign-on options.

Responsibilities include patient-centered care, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and the surgical team to ensure positive outcomes. RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN - Registered Nurse license required
• BCLS certification preferred or required depending on unit
• ACLS/PALS/NRP may be preferred for some OR or critical care settings

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational protocols.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborates with the care team to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities as appropriate.
• Maintains infection control and patient safety throughout care delivery.
• Documents patient care and education in the medical record.
• Engages in performance improvement and audits to enhance outcomes.
• OR Services: scrubs in for surgeries, assists with instruments and maintains sterile field.
