Job summary

Jersey College in New Jersey seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students. The role includes supervising students in clinical settings such as long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites, and ensuring safe, professional nursing practice.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN clinical experience.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN bedside/clinical experience.
• Experience teaching or precepting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy and standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain attendance records and coordinate with campus administration and clinical partners.
• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and continuing education.
