Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education for LPN/PN and RN students. Responsibilities include classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction across long-term care and hospital settings.

The role emphasizes evaluating student performance, guiding skill development, and maintaining professional standards. The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, with an unrestricted RN license and at least 3 years

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with teaching or nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to nursing students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment for student growth.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in clinical environments and promote safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence per program standards.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Provide guidance and feedback to promote successful learning outcomes.
• Attend faculty meetings and ongoing professional development.
