Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents with daily medications under physician orders, ensuring accuracy and compassion. You will follow the Six Rights and use the eMAR system to coordinate care with nursing leadership.

The role includes direct resident care, supervising non-licensed staff, and upholding the Bickford Mission on every shift. Evening availability and daily pay options are offered within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience caring for seniors.
• Insulin Certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to take additional training or education as states may require.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and all Bickford policies and procedures.
• Appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members on shift.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift.
