Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with medications, personal care, and daily living activities. You will follow the six rights of medication administration, use the eMAR system, and coordinate with the RN Coordinator to ensure safe, respectful care.

The role emphasizes hands-on resident care, teamwork, and adherence to federal and state regulations, promoting independence and dignity for residents in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Have a current state license as a Medication Technician.
• Minimum of one year experience in long term care, assisted living, skilled nursing, hospital, or related settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practices and resident care.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local long term care regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Know the details of medications to be administered.
• Follow the six rights of medication administration and Bickford Policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with RN Coordinator for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care.
• Supervise non-licensed team members in care delivery as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford Mission 'Whatever it Takes' in daily duties.
