Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care and ensure daily medication needs are met with compassion and dignity. You will follow physician orders, use the eMAR system, and collaborate with clinical leadership to deliver high-quality resident care.

This role emphasizes leadership on shift and living the Bickford Mission, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least 1 year of senior care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to take additional training or education as required by state regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to administer medications per physician orders.
• Adhere to the Six Rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed.
• Lead by example in upholding the Bickford Mission on shift.
