Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform high, moderate, and waived testing according to established SOPs, using advanced instrumentation. The role involves independent judgment, data interpretation, and collaboration with physicians.

You will monitor results, participate in quality control and CSI, and train new staff. Located at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hecktown Oaks, this onsite position supports patient-centered laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 high complexity requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited institution.
• Certification by a recognized certifying agency preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific materials and communicate with healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Performs high, moderate, or waived testing per SOPs.
• Monitors results for reasonableness and reports results.
• Assists physicians in interpretation of test results.
• Conducts quality control and CSI activities; participates in continuing education.
• Prepares and collects specimens for analysis.
• Trains new employees and students.
