Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a qualified professional to perform high, moderate, and waived laboratory testing in our Lehigh Valley facility. You will work evenings, with weekend and holiday rotations, and contribute to diagnostic accuracy through independent result verification and data interpretation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in medical technology or related field, CLIA high-complexity qualifications, and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Certifications by a recognized certifying agency (ASCP, ASMT, NCA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing per SOPs.
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions and records troubleshooting.
• Confirms, verifies and reports test results independently; monitors for reasonableness and critical values.
• Correlates and interprets data generated from testing.
• Assists physicians in interpretation of test results within professional scope.
• Conducts quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Provides orientation/training to new staff or students.
• Prepares and/or collects specimens for analysis.
• Performs instrument and assay validations and signs off on competencies.
