Job summary

OhioHealth Core Lab is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the technical operations of a clinical laboratory section. You will supervise staff, ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations, and serve as a key liaison within the hospital to resolve issues.

Evening shift with 40 hours weekly, leading a team, coordinating training, and ensuring adherence to CAP, CLIA, and ASC standards while promoting quality service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 3–5 years experience in a patient care or clinical setting.
• Experience supervising laboratory staff and operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees departmental technical operations and manages human resources.
• Ensures customer service quality with a focus on performance and compliance.
• Acts as liaison within the department and with other hospital units to resolve issues.
• Investigates specimen problems, service complaints, and delays in procedures.
• Provides guidance to physicians and other departments; assists division manager.
• Develops and implements procedures to improve function, productivity, and service.
• Ensures regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, ASC) are met in the area.
• Maintains documentation and cost-effective delivery of lab services.
