Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing and qualify as a general supervisor.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business partners.
• Ability to write and present information to management and boards of directors.
• Mathematical ability including probability, statistics, fractions and proportions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and designated laboratory software.
• Certification by recognized certifying agency (ASCP/ASMT/NCA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of staff in collection, processing and testing to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provides 24/7 rotating on-call coverage and regulatory oversight.
• Monitors workload, efficiency, and quality control to maintain high standards.
• Directs storage of hazardous materials and laboratory safety programs with the safety officer.
• Reviews and validates new instruments and tests; reports results accurately.
