Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• 5 years of management experience in a diverse laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma; strong budgeting/financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Laboratory Services with staff/equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Develop and implement lab procedures; ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, CAP, CLIA, TJC, OSHA, CMS).
• Recruit, train and retain qualified staff; mentor for succession planning.
• Represent OhioHealth Lab Services in campus leadership and strategic planning.
• Prepare and justify operating and capital budgets; monitor variances.
• Monitor and report campus metrics across the lab scorecard; drive improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; ensure high reliability in safety, quality, and efficiency.
