Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Pharmacy. The role supports unit dose dispensing, IV admixture, sterile compounding, and controlled substances handling in a high-accuracy environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration, 2 years in inpatient pharmacy with 1 year sterile compounding. Evening shift, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail setting.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Preferred: IV Sterile Products certification and Pharmacy employee training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit dose dispensing and IV admixture preparation.
• Prepare sterile products including high-risk sterile compounding.
• Deliver medications and supplies to designated areas and manage controlled substances.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts and audits.
