The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston seeks an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient drug distribution, unit dosing, IV admixture, and specialized systems. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety within a high-volume hospital setting.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, Texas-TSBP PHTR, and PTCB/NHA-CPHT licenses with at least 3 years of hospital or infusion center experience.

Competenze

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent and
• Required: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy technician training program or
• Required: Associate's Degree
• PHTR - Registered Pharmacy Technician Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
• CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA)

Mansioni

• Participate in medication preparation, distribution, compounding, and inventory management.
• Maintain proficiency and accuracy in assigned pharmacy areas.
• Develop, deliver, and assess employee training and competency materials.
• Demonstrate accountability and ownership of duties and projects.
• Maintain workflows and regulatory compliance within specialized pharmacy areas.
• Complete quality assurance and productivity reports on schedule.
• Support coordination of departmental meetings and interdepartmental communications.
• Assist with regulatory compliance initiatives (USP standards, accreditation, drug shortages).
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
