Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Pharmacy team in Houston. You will participate in medication preparation, distribution, compounding (sterile and non-sterile), inventory management, and maintain high accuracy and productivity standards.

You will help develop training programs and assess employee competency in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and pharmacy technician training certification
• 3 years of hospital/infusion center/retail pharmacy experience
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (TSBP and PTCB/NHA) required

Responsibilities

• Support medication preparation, distribution, compounding, and inventory management
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and productivity standards in assigned areas
• Develop and deliver employee training programs and competency assessments
• Coordinate complex materials and communications using Office 365/SharePoint
• Ensure compliance with USP standards, accreditation, and drug shortage programs
