Methodist Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Compounding) to support sterile preparation under a pharmacist, including chemotherapy prep and parenteral admixtures. The role requires accurate compounding, labeling, and adherence to USP 797 standards in a demanding hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have hospital experience, a Texas-Board-registered or intern-certified technician status, and completion of an ACPE-approved sterile compounding course.

Qualifikationen

• Hospital experience and 1 year minimum sterile compounding preferred.
• Current Registered Pharmacy Technician or Intern Certification with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
• ACPE course meets Texas Board of Pharmacy requirements to compound sterile products.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.

Aufgaben

• Fill medication orders accurately and safely compound and label medications and parenteral admixtures.
• Obtain final pharmacist check before releasing any prepared parenteral compounds or medications.
• Perform daily ADC routines and replenish ADCs, emergency carts, and floor stock.
• Troubleshoot ADC issues and support automated dispensing machines and pharmacy computer systems.
• Maintain routine manufacturing/prepackaging logs and notify inventory manager of shortages or damage.
• Prepare day records including USP 797 cleanings, batch logs, census and outdate reports.

Ausbildung

High School diploma or equivalent

ACPE 40-hour course for sterile compounding

Texas Board of Pharmacy registration or intern certification
