Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Georgia is seeking an Imaging Call Center Coordinator to ensure timely communication of imaging results and coordinate patient care. This on-site role supports radiologists, providers, and patients through secure messaging systems and scheduling coordination.

The position requires 1 year of related call center/office experience and a HS Diploma or GED, with on-site work in Atlantic Station. Schedule is 3pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of call center, operator, dispatching, or related office experience.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Answer, locate, direct calls to ordering providers when there is an imaging study with a critical result.
• Serve as the first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
• Review reports and notify patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax, and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices through interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to facilitate alternative care planning.
• Coordinate with the Patient Connection Center to schedule patients’ post-device interrogation.
• Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
• Perform basic office procedures to support the Imaging Call Center’s daily operations.
