Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a part-time UNV ED Registration Night shift position in Worcester, MA. The role involves accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and coordinating hospital services in a busy outpatient setting.

Under supervision, you will collect demographic and billing information, assist with scheduling, and support the Revenue Cycle team to ensure timely patient access. A high school diploma is required; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Preferred an Associate Degree or certificate in Healthcare related field.
• Proficient data-entry skills with attention to detail.
• Must have Windows computer skills and ability to navigate systems.
• Strong customer service skills, verbal and written, with internal and external customers.
• Experience in hospital admissions, insurance, billing, scheduling or telephone customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by entering demographic and insurance information into the scheduling system.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and pre-authorization needs.
• Schedule Radiology, Lab and other services; assist with admissions/discharges.
• Collect patient liabilities and assist with billing matters as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Uphold health and safety regulations, PPE use, and professional standards.
