The role requires operating forklifts and manual equipment, adhering to safety rules, and supporting customers with freight needs. The position offers a 1700-2200 shift and starts at $21.16 per hour, with typical warehouse duties and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in warehousing or freight handling preferred.
• If hostler/yard mule duties are required, experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Perform freight handling using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope, etc.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
