FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker responsible for transporting freight across the dock area to and from trailers, using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck. Starting rate of pay is $21.16 per hour; shift times are 1600-2000.

This role requires attention to freight documentation and safe handling practices. Responsibilities include verifying documentation, securing loads, assisting customers, and performing hostling when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to count, perform basic math, and read freight documentation.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify freight description and weight against documentation.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and related documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
