Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc is seeking a Dock Worker to transport freight across the dock area for loading to trailers and to assist with freight documentation as needed.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and hand trucks, securing freight, recouping damaged freight, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dock environment on the 1700-2200 shift with pay starting at $22.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry frequent loads and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate forklift and manual equipment to move freight.
• Verify documentation matches freight details and secure freight inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company procedures.
